The Paragon Best Paper Award 2025

It was once again a great pleasure for Paragon Business Solutions to sponsor the Gala Dinner at the 19th Credit Scoring and Credit Control Conference, held in Edinburgh this August. Organised biannually by the Credit Research Centre at the University of Edinburgh, this event is widely recognised as the world’s premier conference for credit scoring and credit risk-related topics.

We were delighted to present the Paragon Best Paper Award, which recognises the best conference paper, judged by an independent industry panel based on its relevance and practical application. As always, the judging was tough, with well over 100 sessions covering a wide range of cutting-edge topics including Climate Risk, Model Risk, Open Banking, Affordability, Fairness and the rapidly emerging field of Generative AI.

Congratulations to Dmytro Kolechko of Wing Bank, winner of the 2025 Best Paper Award for his innovative work on Digital Footprint Credit Scoring Modeling. His research stood out for its originality, practical relevance and potential to reshape how digital data is used in credit risk assessment.
